A revolutionary technique for pre-implant bone reconstruction

In broad terms, this technique is used to fix artificial bone with a view to placing an implant where the patient's bone substrate is insufficient (large ridge defects). Using ultrasound, pins (SonicPin) are inserted into the patient's own bone, and a membrane with a hardness similar to titanium is fixed onto them. The membrane acts as a conformer, providing shape, stability and the opportunity for the added bone granules to integrate.
